Adding a new individual to CET searches the FSFT for matches
This issue happens when I work on my CET using the web site. (Edit: tested platforms are Win10 + Edge, Win11 + Chrome, Win11 + Firefox.)
When I try to add a new individual to my CET (for example, when adding a parent, spouse, child, or other relationship link to an existing individual in the CET), the system searches the FSFT for matching individuals and shows those results in the "Possible Matches Found" section.
A button appears under those FSFT search results to "ADD MATCH". Clicking that button gives the error message "The system is currently unavailable." This error message doesn't adequately explain the problem that you can't add a FSFT individual to a relationship with a CET individual.
Instead, when adding a new individual to my CET, if individuals from the FSFT are shown to me, I'd expect to be able to "copy" the individual from the FSFT to my CET as a new individual. (Or once it's possible to link a CET individual to a FSFT individual, "copy and link" from these search results.)

@Fredelas from reddit Thank you for testing "early access CET". This is a known issue and the engineers are working to resolve it. When CET is put into production, it will include a feature called "Tree2Tree" which will allow users to copy from another tree. There will not be an option to "link" a CET PID with a FST PID.

@mynameistk I would consider it a serious shortcoming if it's not possible to add a link from a CET PID to a FSFT PID, especially in cases when an individual is being copied from one tree to the other. I expect that in the course of my research, I'll frequently want to compare individuals in both trees, and that would be very tedious without some built-in method of linking the CET individual to a FSFT individual. (I can understand why you wouldn't want to do it in reverse.)
I hope this is something FamilySearch will consider as a feature request for future development.
In the meantime, I'll probably have to manually add a Source for every CET individual with a URL pointing to the FSFT PID. But that means several extra clicks every time I want to get to the FSFT individual from my CET. (Plus it just feels wrong to be using a Source for this type of reference.)

It would be extremely helpful if we had a place (perhaps in other) on each individual in our CET where we can add the FSFT PiD.

@Cherie Gardner Rawlings it would be appropriate to add that information in "notes". Thank you, again, for all of your valuable feedback.
