I am hoping for a translation of a birth record of Jerzy Ludwik Pelcer. Item #50 - first record on the page. I believe he is born to Valentin Pelcer (Belser), and Margaretha Seip of Luszyca in Połaniec parish 22 Sep 1813. Thank you for your help!

    Translated from Polish:

    Birth Record No. 50, Połaniec Parish, the Priest acting as Officer of Civil Records Office, of Jerzy Ludwik Belcer, born in Luszyca, gmina (district) Tursko, on the 20th September 1813, birth reported on the 22nd September 1813, son of Walenty Belcer, 28 years old, a settler in village Luszyca, and of his wife Małgorzata, born Sabin (or Seibin), 28 years old. Witnesses: Ludwik Müller, 40 years old, and Jakub Schmidt, 28 years old, settlers in the same village and gmina, and close neighbors. Signed by the Priest and Ludwik Müller.

    Please be aware that they did not have written or printed IDs at that time and the recorder wrote what he heard. Maybe later with birth of other children those names will be written more clearly.

    Thank you very much, Maria! This is very helpful. I have a few records of this family, and I'm having a hard time figuring out what year the parents were actually born because of the very thing you're describing - no real ID, so their ages vary.
