Document presented is the certificate of publication in this comune on the Sundays 1 and 8 Jul 1894
The spouses in the presence of these witnesses have revealed also that from their natural union was born a female registered in this office on 12 Oct 1887 under the name Pia Basilissi, record no. 593 and have declared to recognize her as their own child with all the effects of legitimization.
Read the present record to all involved and the witnesses signed below with me but not the spouses who asserted that they did not know how to write.

Thanks again Cousin Vinny. Exactly what I wanted to know was if Pia (my Great Grandmother) listed as a witness was born prior to their marriage. I really appreciate it since I could not get the Italian cultural center in Stone Park, IL to translate it unless it was a certified document. Your expertise saved me a lot of time.
