What do three crosses mean on a birth registry?
Attached is what i believe is my GGF's birth record from Nyrany. This is the first time I have come across 3 crosses and wondered what it means. I am not sure what a lot of the seemingly extra text means so maybe there is a connection. Thanks!

The extra text says that the child was illegitimate, and was later "legitimized" by the marriage of the parents on 21 September 1868 (it says their marriage record can be found in book II, page 34). The symbol '+++' or 'xxx' may show up in either the column for the godparent & witnesses, or in a case like this where there are additional witnesses signing to attest to the marriage/legitimization. You can see that some of the witnesses have signed the record, and others have this '+++' symbol as their mark because they were unable to sign their name.

Thank you. I would never have figured that out. And thank you for the translation as well. Very helpful for me!
