I need help with the very last person on this page, Karen Kirstine Pedersen. To me, what is written for her looks a little different than most christening records, and what I've found isn't making sense. There is another christening record for her in a different place that looks more normal, I believe her parents were married about a month after she was born, and I don't think Peder Pedersen is her father. I don't know, though!?! What do the last 3 sections say? Thank you!

Barnets Fødsel anføres her uden Løbenummer, ifølge Forordningen af 24de Januar 1844, da Moderen forlod Sognet i Novbr. 1847 i frugtsommelig tilstand.

Forordningen af 24de Januar 1844 : the parish/ municipality where the child was conceived has the obligation to support if needed. So the parish where the child was born send a request to the parish where it was conceived to record this in the parish register.

The mother left Ølsemagle pregnant, and the child was born in Kongsted parish, where the christening is recorded. Peder Pedersen is the father, and they was married the day of the christening i Kongsted

Here is the Kongsted Christening record for her. Peder Pedersen is a witness. Peder Jensen is shown in the column for the parents…and he is the only one that shows up in later records as well. (census and burial)

In the marriage records, it shows Birthe getting married to Peder Jensen. So, was Birthe promised to Peder Jensen, got pregnant by Peder Pedersen, then came back and got married to the one she was promised to, Peder Jensen?

I imagine a parish clerk [degn] in Kongsted writing in the parish register, all the names correct, as he must have had contact with persons involved. (first hand source)

Later he writes a note/letter to send to the parish clerk in Ølsemagle, and here the mistake with the names appears. (second hand source)

Peder Jensen and Peder Pedersen is very common names.

The wrong name in Ølsemagle Hovedministerialbog and Ølsemagle Kontraministerialbog should be the same as they are copies of each other.

I would never imagine that Peder Pedersen as father also appears as a witness, again Peder Pedersen is a very common name.

I'll look at it a little more once I give my brain a rest, but that is a very possible explanation. Thank you!
