Posting Guidelines for Record Translations/Abstractions

When posting a record request in discussions, please comply with the following instructions:

Posting Frequency - these guidelines help provide order to our community discussions.

1. Each community member should limit their record translation discussions to two posts per day.
   1. If you have two translation discussions that are in the queue to be answered, please wait until one has been answered before posting another.

Discussion Information - these guidelines help consolidate known information.

1. Provide the following information as best as you know about the record to be translated:
   1. Where the record is from
      1. Location of creation (parish name)
      2. Location of storage (Archive name)
   2. Who you expect to find on the document
      1. Primary individuals on the record and their parents
      2. Names, ages, occupations, etc.
2. Include an image and a link to the image whenever possible.
   1. Please check to make sure the image is legible
   2. Please include the entirety of a page, rather than just the entry. This provides the translator with more context and more entries to compare.

Responding to your Discussion Comments

1. You can react to a comment by giving a thumbs up, thumbs down, or a heart.
2. If a comment answers your question, please mark the comment as "Answered".
3. Please remember to thank the community members who comment on your discussion!
