Looking for Maxwell family Ballywalter, County Down
Hi all,
I’m looking for marriage or birth records for James Maxwell and Elizabeth Mitchell, likely married before 1785 in or near Ballywalter, County Down, Ireland.
Their son James Maxwell was born December 2, 1785 in Ballywalter. He later died in 1863, and his death record lists both parents' names.
I haven’t been able to find any record of the marriage or earlier birth/baptism info for either James or Elizabeth on FamilySearch. Would love help or guidance on where else to look—parish records, land records, anything!
Thanks in advance!
