Naturalization Petition
Searching records for naturalization document. A man named Joseph Scarpignato b. 17 July 1888, Messina, Messina, Sicily, Italy. Lived in Fitchburg, Worcester, MA. since 1916. 1920 U.S. Census shows him as an alien.1930 U.S. Census shows him as a U.S. citizen. I've searched petitions for naturalization in Fitchburg from 1904 thru 1906 with no record available.He immigrated to the U.S. in 1904 via New York City.
Looking for direction as to where to search further to find a naturalization record.

Good afternoon Wayne: I found a census records in Ancestry.com for 1950 showing him in
Fitchburg, Worcester, Massachusetts, USA.
The first place to start is at USCIS for records after 1906. You can also check the National Archives for Immigration records. The FamilySearch Wiki pages on Massachusetts immigration records has lots of advice. Hope some of this helps.
