Requesting Advice for finding Austrian village/town
Hello! I am trying to find a place in Austria called 'Untergaint' or 'Unterpaint.' It existed as of 1883 and may have been near Passau, Germany. I am uploading a screenshot of a marriage entry naming "Untergaint/paint" in case I am misreading the word. Any help locating this village or town would be much appreciated! Thank you.

The document states that the place was in Austria. The only place names that come somewhat close are the villages Gross-Paint and Klein-Paint, which don't seem to exist anymore. They belonged to the parish of Andrichsfurt, which is about 30 miles south of Passau.
I found these villages in this publication and will try to send a link to the correct page in a seperate message.Raffelsperger, Franz:

This is where you can find the birth certificate of Franziska Spies (Antesberger), but you might have that already.

Untergrainet?
Now called Grainet, and it's in Germany, not Austria, but it's close to Passau.
