Family Search is now listed as the person making changes
James McIntosh Stuart KWJV-946 has repeatedly been added as the spouse to my ancestor Elizabeth Jane Nutman KWJ4-FLB with the marriage date that is her actual marriage date to her actual husband Alexander Stewart Graham KWJW-12C. This has been changed multiple times by various people. Each time it happens I go back and delete this information because they were never married. I finally added a note to the effect that they had never been married. They also add Eleanor Elizabeth Graham as the daughter of Elizabeth Nutman and James Stuart which is also not true. Eleanor is the daughter of Alexander and Elizabeth. Most recently, my note was deleted. What?!? I also added that back in. In looking at the current change log, all changes are now attributed to Family Search instead of the individual who actually made the change. Is this just me or are others finding this change as they review the change log?

Why is family search now the "person" responsible for all the changes messing up my ancestor's profile? It used to be an unending parade of all kinds of people. Is family search now going to read my alert note and not make the change? Is family search going to be who I contact when the next change happens? What is going on with this? I do not understand this at all.

Yesterday or the day before someone reported here that incorrect user names were showing in the change log. I suspect that all those names now showing as FamilySearch is a temporary situation while they are fixing the problem that showed the wrong users. If so, things will be back to normal in a day or two.
