Franklin, Virginia (the city) is different from Franklin County, Virginia. They are geographically distant. But most of the catalog entries under Franklin, Virginia (the city) ACTUALLY belong under Franklin County, Virginia. But if you search for them under Franklin County, Virginia, you can't find them.

    It appears that most of the records are fixed. Unfortunately there was a change that makes it a little harder to find the county records that still will be worked on (selecting the default name for the county from the drop-down will return the city records; instead select include the "county" bit in what you type in and choose that, or just use these links to see the changes).
