Sweden - Requesting Assistance Understanding Record Changes
My request is for help to sort out some recent changes made to an individual that I am following:
Erik Eriksson Sjölund (PID G6ZB-SP5) - Born 27 Feb 1824, Died 18 May 1876.
His Profile Details had previously shown him:
With a single marriage to: Ingrid Greta Olsson Wik (PID G6ZY-5G1) on 28 December 1863.

Recent changes (3 February 2025) to Erik Eriksson Sjölund’s Profile, I believe, incorrectly added a second marriage and three unrelated children.
The marriage in question is: To a Lena Larsdotter (PID G3CC-NC4) on 2 January 1852. I believe the source for her marriage is:

I believe this marriage record and subsequent Household Examination Records shows she was married to Eric Ersson, (PID G3CC-HQK), Born 27 Sept 1821.
The three children in question are:

I have included links to their Birth Records above and a partial list of Household Examination Records below which show them as a family unit. In each case the Birth Records show the Father to be Eric Ersson and Mother as Lena Larsdotter of Ås.

My skill set for using Family Search is limited, I am still learning. If my findings are correct, I feel if I try to correct this on my own I would make a mess of it. Also I am not sure that I am seeing all the effects in the Tree or what other records that may have been affected.
I tried to figure out how/why these changes were made to Erik Ericksson Sjölund’s Profile. I did not see any Merges in the change log that would be attributed to this. I looked at the pencil icon’s on the Details Page for possible answers but didn’t find any. The Change Log listed most of the changes as “Relationship Changed”. I found no new Sources associated with these changes. And the Reason Statements were given as Dubblett - (Duplicate). What am I missing? Any help understanding this, sorting it all out and correcting it would be greatly appreciated!

Erik Eriksson b: 1821-09-24 in Ås, Gnarp, Gävleborg and Lena Larsdotter b:1824-09-18 in Gnarp
are a separate family and should not be attached to Erik Sjölund in any way.

If there is a simple way to explain where/how these errors were made and what it took for you to correct them, it would help me a lot. I am still learning!0 -
Hi!
I have no idea how the 2 families got interlinked but when I checked Erik Sjölund I saw that I've done some research on him! I'm not related to him so most likely I've followed someone else from the Västerbotten area. Anyway, I removed the connection to the children and Lena. I noticed that on myheritage several people also had Lena married to Erik Sjölund. That's when I decided to split them up, add records on everyone so this mistake won't happen again. This is also where I saw that one of Ingrid Greta's children had a different father, so there's still some work to be done on the Sjölund family.

@David2,666 Thank you for all that your work. I did see that you added some sources and a fourth child to Lena’s record. Hopefully this will prevent a repeat of merging wrong records.
