I have been trying to work on one ancestor at a time and creating a time line of things that I know about them. Then I am adding photos from my own collection, or from the internet, to illustrate the story of their life. I have been so excited with how much information I can add about the living conditions of the areas that they live.
What keywords in your ancestors lives help you to add details to their story? For me, it was things like:
Occupation: Professional Archer
Associates: The names of professional associates mentioned in a newspaper article. I learned more about them and felt like I knew more about the caliber of person my ancestor was.
Locations: I checked out the population, the typical occupations, and searched for historical buildings from their time period. I looked for paintings and other illustrations from that time period.
