Merge analysis can be deceiving
when wrong sources/information have been added to one of the persons being compared.
I have to start at the bottom of the change log for each person being compared rather than relying on the merge analysis comparison alone.
Does the analysis page encourage users to not dig deeper?

As just another user, I have to say that I would hope that everyone realizes that the only thing the Merge Analysis view does is give a nice overview of what happened during that particular merge. But it gives absolutely no information or assessment as to whether any name, date, place, or source seen there is in any way correct at all or whether any other merge done was properly.
To actually evaluate the accuracy of a profile you do have to check the information currently on the profile and all the attached source as well as, usually, going through the entire change log.
