    Can you remove a line?

I am trying to create a group for my maternal line but my paternal line was created with it. This group is for my cousins, aunt, uncles, on my maternal line. How do I remove my paternal line from this group?

A Family Group Tree (FGT) is simply a collection of living people who then connect to the public part of Family Tree (deceased people). Your paternal line consists mostly of deceased people, so you can't remove them from Family Tree.

I suppose you could try to remove a relationship on living persons to achieve this effect. For the copy of your profile in your FGT, you could remove the relationship to your father so that it appears within the FGT that you have only a mother, but no father. If you have siblings, you'd have to do the same for each of them. The result would be that you, your siblings, and all of your collective descendants would see a huge hole in their pedigree where your father and his ancestors would otherwise appear. But if that's your goal, it could be done. You always run the risk that someone else in the group would notice that Virginia's father is missing and helpfully add back the relationship to him, but you could communicate your goal to the group to try to preclude that possibility.
