Changing the language of the page brings you to the homepage. Why?
When I change the language of the page, it exits where I am and returns to the homepage. It shouldn't be like that. On the Church's website, it works differently. If I'm viewing a conference talk in one language and switch the language, it stays on the same page with that talk. I hope this can be improved on the FamilySearch website.

What computer and operating system version, browser and version number are you using? What page are you on when you change the language? Does it happen on every page or just some? What language are you starting in and which are you switching to?
Changing languages has never changed what page one is on before and when I try it, does not today either. The programmers are going to have to figure out what is different about the set up you are using. That is why you need to tell them what your configuration is and the exact details of what you are doing.
The only thing I can think of is that you are on a page that does not exist in the language you are trying to switch to and so has nowhere to go except the home page.
