Searching for records - Chodecz Parish
Hello,
I’m look for the following two records. Neither geneteka, genbaza, genealogiawarchiwach.pl, nor szukajwarchiwach.gov.pl seem to have scans of theses?
Any chance they are available elsewhere?
Marriage of Marcin Charmel and Dorota Szawroth

Birth of Krzysztof Charmel

You are correct. The marriage record of Marcin Hapniel or Hermel and Dorota Szawtrowna or from family Szawtrow is not found on any of the Internet sites. But if you hover with your computer mouse over "z" at the end of this marriage entry, you will find the place where those records are kept: Archiwum Diecezjalne we Wloclawku. You may write to them in English using their email found on Internet. It is the only place where you can find this record.
The birth record of Krzysztof Charmel or Harmel, born in Chodecz, year 1798 could be found in Archiwum Panstwowe w Toruniu, Oddzial we Wloclawku, if you hover with your computer mouse over Geneteka entry "z". The cost should be reasonable in both cases.

Thank you Maria,
Success. Archiwum Diecezjalne we Wloclawku was able to provide scans of the records. For anyone interested, the cost was 10zł per scan. PayPal(Xoom) has a minimum transaction amount of $10 plus $5 in fees. In summary, it was about $15 total for 3 scans.
The records are attached. May I recive a translation. They are in Latin.

Thanks for this info. I was wondering how to send money to a Polish bank from Canada to get a record. @Colonel88 .

Translated from Latin:
Birth Record No. 74, Chodecz Parish, of Christophorus (Krzysztof in Polish) born in Golskie Holendry on the 27th March 1798, baptized on the 27th March 1798, son of Martinus (Marcin) and Anna Dorothea (Dorota), married couple Charmel. Godparents were Fridericus (Fryderyk) Broor and Marianna Percerowa (wife of Pelcer).
Marriage Record No. 5, after 3 Marriage Banns published, before the Congregation, no impediment detected, Chodecz Parish, Marriage dated the 16th October 1784, of Martinus (Marcin in Polish) Harmel, a young man, and of a maiden, Dorothea (Dorota) Szantrowna (daughter of Szanter) from Budy Golskie. Witnesses: Christophorus (Krzysztof) Harmel, Michael (Michał) Peda, Martinus (Marcin) Krygier, and others.
Please note that in the index of Polish surnames for year 1998, there are 107 Szanter surnames and no Szawter, as interpreted in Geneteka. You may just keep it in mind in case it is written clearer in other records.
Birth Record No. 82, Chodecz Parish, of Michael (Michał) Charmel, born in Budy Golskie, baptized on the 8th September 1788, son of a laborer Martinus (Marcin) Charmel and Dorothea (Dorota), married couple, non-Catholics (acatholicus). Godparents: a laborer Christophorus (Krzysztof) and Marianna Winterowa (wife of Winter) from the same village.
Please also consider that there could be records kept in State Archives, written for the Parish, usually in Polish, with more information, e.g. ages of those married, etc. If they have the marriage record of Marcin Harmel and Dorota, year 1784, it may be beneficial for you to request it. Those records, or later records (usually after 1800) may also give ages of parents of the christened children. The records sent to Diocese Archives were abbreviated and in Latin.
