She was taken in by the orphanage "Aalmoezeniersweeshuis" in Amsterdam, says this record:

It translates to:
Wednesday 31 March 1790
In the evening at 9 o'clock a newly born girl was found at the Prinsegragt, second house from the Reestraat on the porch of Vreedenburg.
With a note saying:
It is kindly requested to the masters of this big house to give this child, of protestant parents, the name of Emersie Lissina, born on 30 March 1790
