This is a Christening record in parish of Systoffe, Maribo county Denmark. The enter is found on the right side right at the bottom of the page. This is what I have so far but not sure if it is correct as I am new at Danish handwriting.

Dom 18 Trinti (27 September 1739) Piter Pedersen af Hullebeck dobt Jens? Joraen.

Thats all I can get. Question about Piter. Is the Peter? and would Jens if that is his name be Jens Pedersen? Thanks for your help, Owen

Piter = Peter = Peder

Thanks Jan, I hoped that was the case that Piter=Peder. What does Faddere mean? I thought it might mean witnesses but that doesn't translate in google translate. I'm not sure what the rest means however. Jorgen Skraeders wife of Systofte bar? hans Faddere.

Faddere [plural of fadder] = godfather, godmother, sponsor

Different parts of Denmark has different dialect, like a soft sound with Peder [like in "the"], a hard sound with Peter "like in tea", and i suppose late 1700-hundred they spelled like they heard it.

bar = carried/held, the person who held the child during babtism, and accepts christening on behalf of the child, godmother.

fadder: godfather, godmother, godparent, a person who, at a child's baptism, promises to take an active interest in its welfare.

In Denmark we use "fadder", seldom "gudfar, gudmor"
