Benjamin George Henry May is as far as I can get in one branch of my tree. LR1G-8GL. His wife was
There are some census records attached which I think are his. He might have come from Illinois or Wales....Sarah May Davies came from Wales. Anybody have anything about his ancestry? Or Sarah May Davies for that matter?

@Jennifer A. Jeffris I am taking a look at your tree in FamilySearch right now. I noticed you have six sources. The birth date for Benjamin is quite early, there should be some US census records for him. You have no death date for him. His wife Sarah has both a birth and a death date. It looks like the first child was born 4-5 years after the marriage date. I have not yet looked at your sources, I am just going off of what I see on your tree. Here's what I would do:
Because you don't have a death date for Benjamin, but you do have a death for Sarah, and there is a 1920 census record, I would check and see if she is listed as a "widow" on that census, to determine if he has already died. If she says she's a widow, check the 1910 census. If Benjamin is listed there, then he would have died sometime between 1910 and 1920. This gives you a range to death record collections.
I looked at your sources, and you have the 1850, 1860, but where are the 1870, 1880, NO 1890, 1900, 1910, and 1920 census records? That is where I would look, because you can put the family unit together, see when they immigrated to America, and if they naturalized.
Please go look for the death record of his wife. Chances are, she is buried next to him. If you know where she is interred, then you may happen onto Benjamin!

I did a quick check and I can see where you are running into problems. It seems there are multiple people with the same name(s). Which means you need to be very careful. I saw that you don't ahve any sources attached to Harvey May born 1874, nor do you have any sources attached to Hattie May. Aha, in looking at Sarah May Davies, I see that she was married twice. It looks like she married in 1872. Her first marriage was 1865. But, Harvey May, her second child, appears to have been born in 1874. Question, did Sarah and Benjamin get a divorce (this raises a quizzical eyebrow. Because, if she married in 1872 the second time, then Harvey May, should technically be Harvey Tobias, because Job is more likely to be the dad.

I did another search on Ancestry for her death record. Unfortunately, because its Cook County, we can't actually see the death record. But, it is on a film at the Family History Library. I checked the FamilySearch catalog, and discovered, that IT is on microfilm, only accessible at the Family History Library. Here is the link though for you to see, for FamilySearch, and I will provide the link for Ancestry as well. Sarah was widowed twice.

Sarah Tobias
in the Illinois, Deaths and Stillbirths Index, 1916-1947
As I look her up under Job Tobias' name, I am seeing a lot more family relationships coming up. Please keep a careful research log as you work on this family. Write out a timeline, and look for gaps. I think you have a lot to go on.
check out the 1900 census. There is a five year old nephew. Look at the actual document, and look for other neighboring family members. In this case we have two 58 year old individuals raising in 1900 their five year old nephew, this leads to questions. And answers, that are on the census records.
