Notation on record cross signifying death of Catharina (Katarzyna) Fryc on the 26th September 1893.

Please note that if you hover with your computer mouse over “i” at the end of entry, you will get additional information, “z” shows where this record is kept.

Patrini (the godparents at birth of a child) are listed in the last column, in those records they are not called witnesses.

Pilot.pl = mapa.szukacz.pl shows the nearby locations of Pstrągowa: Jazowa, Parish Niewodna, Łętownia, Parish Strzyżów, and Tropie. Pilot.pl – Download the map – X the advertisements – click on Ukryj next to Hotele to eliminate all Hs, which are hotel advertisements – enter the name of town/village in the top box on the right – click on selected name of town/village on the right, then click on that name on the map – move your computer mouse from that town/village on the map to another town/village without pressing on the mouse – you will see in the red box, right lower corner of the page with map, the distance in kilometers. You will be able to see how far they walked/travelled to this Parish Church.

Thank you very much. That solved the unknowns to me, and the details about using the map. I should have recalled the use of Godparents within birth records. Thank you. I appreciate it. Mattie

One more suggestion: please use the circles on the right upper side of page in pilot.pl to zoom in or out of the place you selected on the map.
