I'm transcribing christenings from the 1690's in Skibinge, Bårse, Præstø, Denmark, and have come across a word that I know must mean two or twins, but I don't know what the word is.

It reminds me another word meaning "two" that I never deciphered from when I transcribed burials during the plague of 1655 in the parish of Udby:

17 8bris bleffur? begraffed Giertrudtz tu__? sønner af Teglstup

1 Octobris; bleffur? begraffed tu__? Olle Saxens børn i Uby

[I'm also unsure of the forms of blev and begrave.]

Thanks so much for your help!

Karen

    tuende = tvende = Twofold

    ”Jylland mellem tvende have” er en ældre dansk sang med tekst af H.C. Andersen og melodi af Peter Heise, udgivet i 1860 i Illustreret Tidende. I offentligheden kaldes sangen uofficielt for "Jyllands nationalsang"
