    Translated from Polish:

    Marriage Record No. 5, Sompolno Evangelical Parish, dated the 6th February 1848, of Marcin Wendza (also written Wenzel), a young man, farmer resident in Belny, born there, son of Marcin and Katarzyna, born Lenc, married couple Wendza, there living, he is 19 years old, and of a maiden Anna Zuzanna Fandrych, daughter of Krysztof (Krzysztof) and Anna Dorota, born Zys, married couple Fandrych, both already deceased, who used to be farmers in Julianowo, she was born in Julianowo, she is 19 years old, and lives with her brother in Belny. Three Marriage Banns published in Sompolno Parish, the oral permission of parents of the groom and of Michal Lieske, a guardian of the bride, was granted. No impediment detected. No prenuptial agreement. Witnesses: Jan Krause, a farmer from Belny, 46 years old, and Jan Wenzel, a farmer from Wymyslowo, 28 years old.

    Please note that the groom’s surname is written as Wendza, and it is also so interpreted in their indexed marriage in Poznan Project.
