In the year 1834, on the 12th of January,appeared before us... [named maire/ civil registrar] of the community of Reninghelst district Yper province West Flanders
Pieter Ludovicus Hof age 64 years, innkeeper and Victorinus [=Victor] Joannes Van de Lanotte age 37 years, shoemaker, both acquaintances of the deceased living in this community.
They told us that <ichael Dionitius Cnapelynck age 75 years, born in Meteren, farmer in this community, husband of Joanna Clara Langré, son of Baptiste Cnapelynck and deceased Marie Therese Honeke, both born in the said Meteren, has died on the 11th of this month at 6 pm at his home located in this community. The witnesses have signed this record with me after it was read to them.
The deceased was not a widower.
