Fix marriage field

I don’t care wha the home page looks like.

Please fix the marriage field. A preferred bubble would work: so we don’t spend time liniking records and then waste time unlinking them because they are not standartized.

@1sarahkwd - I want to understand the issue you are having and why you are unlinking instead of correcting to the standardized place name with a short explanation for the change. Can you help me understand the steps you are taking and why you are unlinking the record? Are you unable to standardize the place or date?

    Mary,

It doesn’t allow you to correct it if there is already a standardized entry. I just tried it and now I get a Save Failed message. It used to give me a different error message. Something like, this information is already….

The only way to get to an accurate date and place on a person’s page is to delete the lacking entries listed above the correct one. Making the list moveable (? don’t know how to say it) or having a preferred button would be great.

Oh, I guess one could delete the correct one and then correct the top entry. Still a frustrating waste of time.

Also, because of the variety of records in the marriage field (License, newspaper, certificates, etc.) there is usually more than one date and sometimes more than one location and that information is lost in the marriage field location when they are deleted.

@1sarahkwd I'd like to investigate. You are not commenting on the new logged in home page. But are you talking about the couple relationship and trying to change the Couple Relationship Event? I tried changing the date multiple times and it works for me, whether standardized or not.
