... which tells us that Hans Berli (1638) had died before her - and at the same time confirms that the deceased in 1733 must be the son.

This info has been incorporated in Hans Berli (1638-?) oo Elisabeth Hegetschweiler.

I spent some time today going through about 35 years of deaths looking for Hans Berli b 1638's death. Here is what I found. I don't think either are the death record but they may spur some thoughts:

Thanks, I think that finishes Hans Berli and Elisabeth unless I locate his burial entry. KG

Neither of these entries is the one we are looking for… all sons (even small or newly born), none a husband and father.
