Translation:

On 3 July Johann Georg Grimm, office servant for 17 years, was buried here publicly(?); He was 50 years 9 months 13 days old, he died of emaciation because he often? ___? when drunk

The last word (and therefore the meaning of the last sentence) is not fully clear to me.
