    I accidentally stumbled across FamilySearch Places while looking at the 'New' FamilySearch Catalog update. If FamilySearch desires folks to use this, might need to get it 'out there' some more.

    It's not unusual for me to run across a 'lost' location/locale mentioned in an original record and other than making an entry in the 'Description of Residence' in FamilyTree profile, I had wondered if there was a way to improve the Places database.

    I wasn't aware of the FamilySearch Places and its "Suggest a New Place' option where I could potentially get my 'rediscovered' place into the 'system'.

    Maybe put a link to FamilySearch Places in the 'Tools' box on the Family Tree individual profile page? Just a thought…

      I completely agree that the Places database should be easier hear about and to access. There is plenty of room to add on more link here as illustrated:
