Jakob Sidler and Anna Hug marriage 6 March 1747 film 8014328 page 579

I know I asked this before but because of my miscommunication we never actually got a translation. I assume the entry says: Hannß Hug der Schmid

There is a note to the left of the line with Anna Hug reading 'vide infra'. This means 'see below' in Latin. Is there an addition or footnote to this entry further down the page? In Switzerland I can't see the whole page of the document at FS from home.

Thank you Kent for the pages. It is a pity that the note does not contain more information about how far down in the document the footnote can be found. I don't see any reference here. Sorry.

https://community.familysearch.org/en/profile/Daniel57704 Daniel, I thinkI have figured out what PastorBalthasar Zwingli meant when she said look below. There are three Caspar Sidler's married in 1747. I have been trying to figure out which one is related to Jakob Sidler. Still not sure but here they are:

    Kaspar L4HV-RSX and Barbara Baer

    Caspar K2HM-RSF and Elisabeth Schneebeli

I can't find Caspar and Barbara Gut on FS or Ancestry

The eighth entry has a little paragraph after the marriage. Any idea what it says? Thanks for noticing the small note by the Pastor:

Thank you for your findings. Unfortunately, I cannot read the eighth entry in full and I am not familiar with the circumstances in the canton of Zurich. The best person to help you would be WSeelentag.

Here is what I can decipher:

    wurde copuliert
    H. Kaspar Sydler Heinrich Sydlers im ? Sohn u.
Barbara Gut Hans Gut sel :?: Tochter

sind zu Zürich bey dem Grmstr copuliert worden

    were married
    H. Kaspar Sydler Heinrich Sydler's in ? (must be some place) son and
Barbara Gut the late Hans Gut's ? (must be a characteristic of the bride) daughter

were married at the Grossmünster (?)

Daniel57704 Daniel, do you know Wolf? He is one amazing person. I appreciate anyone who can transcribe/translate these early German documents. What you have done her is very helpful. I spent a lot of time looking for this couple without success. This is excellent. Thanks, KG

Yes - we know each other - not personally but by correspondence.

    Thanks for the flowers 😁.

This is easy to read - IF you know what to expect (which Daniel cannot without "Zürich experience"): until 1763 Grossmünster had been the parish of choice when couples from the countryside wanted to get married in the city.

Sind zu Zürich beÿ dem Grmstr (Grossmünster) copuliert worden.

Surprisingly, however, there is no corresponding entry in the Grossmünster records! Was it just planned - or took place somewhere else? EDB doesn't find another suitable entry either (just Ottenbach)!

WSeelentag Interesting, I'm on a search for this couple. Haven't found them yet but still looking. So Grossmünster  is a Parish! Didn't know that. KG

https://community.familysearch.org/en/profile/WSeelentag So Grossmünster is the name of a Kirche and the name of the Parish surrounding the Kirche. Most importantly it is where the parents of Jakob Sidler b 1706 were married with permission of the Marital Court. Thanks for the link. KG

They would not have been married without their permission.
