According to the above mentioned record, Karl Johan was born in Masthugget, before 1908 or something Masthugget was part of Oscar Fredrik parish.

Here we can see him enter Masthugget 1886-08-17 from Garnisons/Garnisonen

He then moved to page 2027, before he was sent to Karl Johans parish in my first post, also, in this record his mother is Hanna Svensson that asks to be noted as his mother

Karl Johans birth record can be found in Göteborgs Garnisonsförsamling, both mother and father are noted as unknown, at the end it says "Dopsed. Horlag". Dopsed is how he would have been baptized, "Horlag" is new to me but Hor could be **** from the word hora and lag = law so baptized according to **** law, this would be my guess anyway.
