GEDCOM import error message & follow on

I successfully upload a large GEDCOM file. Upon opening the file I am presented with:

Some of the data in this GEDCOM file was not uploaded correctly. View imported tree differences.

When I enter the tree, I see the records on the right column with errors, However only some, not all, of the records are editable. Some will open when selected, others will not. Some have PID's others do not. This makes it very difficult to find the records that needs correcting.

In the attached screen snippet, the top three names cannot be selected, nor do they have PID numbers. The bottom name was selectable and I was able to correct the error and mark it as viewed.
