Additional sources possibly available by GEDCOM
I do not know if this feature is available outside the Roots Magic software. I can add a source to an individual and then link that source to other individuals in my database. For instance, I have a will written by the father of a family. He leaves items to his wife and 5 children. I attach the source of the will to the father of the family. Under “Fact Items” of that source, there is a Shared option. I click on the Shared option and can then attach the wife and five children to this source. When I go back to any of the children’s pages, the will is one of their attached sources.
When I create a GEDCOM for CET, only the father’s source is brought over. The source attached to the children is either not captured by the GEDCOM or CET has not been trained to look for these sources.
I used the example of a will but any individuals referenced in the Shared Option have the same issue.
It would be helpful to have these sources a part of CET.
