The commander of the militia infantry regiment Number 35 has communicated that the soldier in the 10th Company of this regiment, engineer Maximilian Edmond Grund, 35 years old, Catholic religion, last resident in Spandau, born in Berlin, married to Hedwig nee Dietz, died from wounds received in the battle at Kruiseck-Zandvorde in Belgium on 29 October in the year 1914. The exact time of death has not been determined.
According to information from his wife, the deceased was the son of the master turner Gabriel Wilhelm Grund and his wife Augusta Maria Mathilda nee Kirchnor, both deceased, last residing in Berlin.
