Hello @Danielle Christine Vanfleet,
The cause of death was tricky for me here — I'm hoping other volunteers will weigh in as well.
Translation:
Record number: 10.
Name: Johann Eissenbeiser.
Status, religion: coachman, Evangelical [Protestant].
District court, place of residence, house number: Kronach, Unterlangenstadt, at the castle.
Single or married: single.
Illness, physician, midwife: gangrene/necrosis as a consequence of a previous injury to himself while cutting wood.
Day, month, year, and hour of death: 2** Jun 1838, 9:30 am.
Day and place of burial: 23 Jun [1838], here.
Age: 36 years.
Pastor or his proxy: same [as written aboe] = Vicar Dippold.
Remarks: [buried] quietly.
**Given that Johann was buried on 23 June, it is highly unlikely that he died on 2 June and his body was stored for three weeks. I assume his death date is likely to be 22 June and the scribe simply made a mistake.
