Norway christening 18 May 1719, Alv Olsen christening. Need help reading some of the witnesses surnames.

Søndeled christening, 18 May 1719 (Fest. Ascens. X.), parents: Ole Alvsen Homme and Maren Tengelsdatter, child: Alv. Witnesses: Ole Horstøl?, Tore Horstøl?, Sørren ______, Ingebor _____, Johanne Homme.

I think that Ole and Tore are Skorstøl and Sørren and Ingebor could be Storøy or Storoy.

On the last 2, the first letter is definitely and "S" and I believe the final 4 letter are "oroy" or "orøy", it is just the "t" that I am not really sure of. It only looks like this in this name/place. The fourth entry on this page has the same word and there may be others. And since the Family Search Wiki for this parish lists Storøygard as a farm, that is my best answer.

Liv, Thanks again for your quick response. Skorstøl makes perfect sense. Although I agree the latter looks like Sedwog (or maybe Seuvog?), I have looked for a possible fit with farms in the area. The only possibility I see is Sævik (Sivik), gård nummer 46 in Søndeled. Previous spellings for this farm include Seuigh, Sæuigh, Seeuig, Sæuig, Sævig. Your thoughts?

After examining two more records of other children born to the same couple, I believe it is Gnr. 49 Sjaavaag. See the christening records for Inge Olsdatter b.3.Nov.1737, witness Sørren Siaavog.

You are correct it is: Siaavog, Siøvaag, Siovog. There was not a standardized spelling used this early, therefore a farm name is spelled many different ways.
