The German expression is "gerichtliche Eheanzeige oder obergerichtliche Bescheinigung". It means that the church marriage could only proceed if the spouses had announced their intention to marry to the local court. It was probably not yet equivalent to a civil marriage. "Banns" are the usual church proclamations and the marriage date is the date of the church marriage. So, I would take the 25 September as date of marriage.

Please explain "legal marriage" vs 'banns' and marriage dates. Is the September 3 date the one I would record as date of marriage?
