Inviting people who do not already have FamilySearch accounts
I'll be inviting a lot of cousins and 2nd cousins who don't have familysearch accounts to my group tree. I already have both their parents (living or deceased) in the group tree so there isn't really a reason for them to create a regular FS tree. My question is - when they create their account what steps will they have to take on their FS tree before they accept the group invite? Could this be streamlined to go straight to the group tree from the link I'll be sending them? Will there be a well documented process for new FS users joining a group that I can share with them as a guide?
For youth in the church with several generations of living people I can see them working only in a group tree their family has created and never needing to even see the main FS tree.

@BGPSW The invitation link will require you to sign in. If a family member has never before created a FamilySearch Account, they can click the Create Account button at the bottom of the sign-in screen. Once your family member has filled in the information, the system sends a registration confirmation email (or text, if you have used your phone number) When you click the Complete Registration button in the email, it takes you to the FamilySearch to login page and, immediately after logging in, takes you to the Family Groups page and the Do you want to join this group? pop-up. The only way to streamline this process would be for your family member to create their FamilySearch Account BEFORE they click the invitation link.
As for whether these new users will ever work in the FamilySearch Tree or only in the Family Group Trees…that is totally up to the user. Consider if every piece of information should be added to the Family Group Tree where family members can see it. Perhaps there are some marriages (now divorces) where you want to keep the information, but don't want it constantly viewable to other family members. Was there a baby that was adopted out? Was there a jail sentence that you don't want others to know about? If there is private information that shouldn't be in the Family Group, you may want to continue using (or teach family members how to use) the Private area of the FamilySearch Tree to keep that information recorded, but private.
