How to Undo a Change?
I was creating a tree, and when changing a name, I was offered a possible match. I accepted that match and I believe I "merged" the record into my tree. I then realised that this was a mistake and I was scared that I'd altered someone else's work. Following the trouble-shooting instructions, I tried to unmerge or restore the record, but no merge was shown under the expanded "latest changes" screen. The only changes shown under this "imported" person, and which I had personally made, were "father added" and "mother added". It would seem the only way I can restore the information, is to change the name back to what it was, but have I changed someone else's tree, and would I be making matters worse by altering that merged - or imported record?

If you are willing, can you provide the 'FamilySearch Person Identifier' (PID) of the individual/person (or, both individuals/persons) that you are referring to.
.
It would be a lot easier to examine the "ChangeLog" for them, so we might be able to help.
