Translation Request MR Gallus Schoder and Afra Brey 1745 Sallach
Left page 25 Oct. I am confident of the names because they are quite clear in the Marriage Registry. Just want to confirm that the groom is from Sallach and I can’t figure out from where the bride comes. Thanks for the help. I have to say again that this group has given me so much help and extra encouragement and information.

Hello @DorisMiller1,
The groom is from: "Haslbach" = Haselbach =
The bride is from: "Graffenburckhheimb" = Grafenburgheim, which is today called Burgheim:
Here is a link about Burgheim from the German Wikipedia: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burgheim
Use your browser's translate function to translate to German. In the history section, it explains that Burgheim was once called Grafenburgheim.
Both Haselbach and Burgheim are close to Sallach. Haselbach is approximately 5 miles southeast of Sallach. Burgheim is approximately 3 miles northeast of Sallach.

You're welcome, @DorisMiller1. Glad to assist you in your research. I checked in Meyers and I see how close Rohrenfels and Buch are to Burgheim. I hope you do get the opportunity to visit these places.

Thank-you @Robert Seal_1. My Dad was born in Rohrenfels, and later grew up in Buch. So I have driven through Burgheim which is very close by. I am in Canada, but soon would like to visit all of these villages now that I know where some of my ancestors were from.
