Cherie,
The person who created the tree is always the owner. There is no facility to change ownership. The proper thing to do would be to promote one of your invited tree members to the role of Co-owner. Below are the anticipated functions of each role:
OWNER: An owner can do all available tasks in a tree including: Managing tree information (image, title, description, starting person, privacy, tree deletion and choosing a collection), Membership (inviting members and co-owners and removing others from the tree) and changing any genealogical data in the tree.
CO-OWNER: A co-owner can perform all available tasks available to the owner, except for deleting the tree and demoting or removing other co-owners. Co-owners can manage the tree in the absence of the owner.
MEMBER: Members can change any genealogical data in the tree, but do not manage tree membership nor information about the tree.0
