Im hoping that someone can help with my query

I’m researching my Paternal Grandfather ESPEDITO MARMO b Salerno, died before 1972.

I guess he was born after 1900 but before 1920
I know he was a painter and decorator

His son Mario Espedito MARMO b 1940 in Salerno later migrated to UK where he remained.


Is there a way that I can trace my Italian family line? Any online records ?

    Salerno is both a comune (town) and a province containing dozens of towns, including Salerno. To research Italian records, you need to know the exact town and the exact year. Was your ancestor born in Salerno proper or somewhere in the province? What records do you have about him - marriage, etc.?
