Translation/interpretation request
The first marriage entry of 1796 (middle of the left attached page) of Niels Pedersen and Mette Marie Jensdatter has a few words that I can't make out relating to their marriage without engagement (including the word forbuden). I can make out most of the words but am curious about the reasoning behind needing permission from royalty (kongelig?) for marriage without engagement, or if I am misreading the entry? Also, the next entry has similar language for the marriage of Niels' sister Kiersten which may be of help. Haven't seen this before and just trying to figure out what is going on. Many thanks!

You are correct in your assumption:
They needed a "Kongelig Allernaadigst Bevilling" [= most graciously royal grant] for getting married without prior "Trolovelse" (= Betrothal), which was standard for that time period.
