Starting person
Can I only change the starting person to a living person?
Although I have a big tree in the group, when I want to change the starting person, the only options I have to choose from, are those living.
Is this accurate?

Yes, that is correct. The Starting Person is really asking you to choose who you are in the Family Group Tree. So far, we do not have the option (as in FamilySearch Family Tree) to choose a deceased person as your 'Home person' in your Family Group Tree.
