Hello! Looking for information to confirm that Maria's (GK6H-N9Y) mother and father? The dates of birth per her death record are correct for 29SEPT1878. (per find a grave). Anyone able to help me find her birth or death certificates.

Am I on the right track or are her parents actually Andras Grega and Anna Tarazik? per find a grave index their birthdates are a few months off, not 29SEP1878 but 14NOV1878. Perhaps that would have been her baptism date?

I am just a little confused. Any help would be very much appreciated.

You're looking for the wife of John Vadas, they lived in the East Chicago-Hammond area of Indiana.

Her passenger list gives a last residence of Lapispatik, which prior to World War I was part of Hungary, in Saros county, and is now in Slovakia.

ancestry.com has Indiana death certificates online. Your local public library probably has a subscription that gives you free access. Your nearest Family History Center definitely does.

You might want to look at the records of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in East Chicago for children's baptisms and marriages, etc.https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/682973?availability=Family%20History%20Library

They can only be viewed at a Family History Center or affiliate library.

I wrote "Lapispatik" in my previous comment. It should be "Lapispatak".

I forgot to mention that it's now Ploské, in Slovakia.
