We are looking for the burial of Jacob Pedersen #LLM8-NG3.

He as born and died at Fillerup, Odder, Aarhus according to family search data. The date listed on the tree for his death is 14 Jan 1795. Here is the link of the closest record I have found - it shows a Jacob, age 44 buried 14 June 1795 - but we can't deipher the word after his name (doesn't look like Pedersen) and this is for Odder not Fillerup, however, the age of 44 matches. Can you please help with the word following the name of Jacob? :

I have not been able to find a different Jacob Pedersen who died before his wife remarried in 1796.

Thank you!

The word after his name is snedker. Unfortunately, this burial entry doesn't seem to a good match. Just yesterday somebody found Jacob's probate record and added it to his sources on FamilySearch. It's clear that your Jacob Pedersen died sometime before 30 January 1795 when his probate was taken.

    https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QSQ-G9WZ-BG4B?i=332&cc=2015318

The entry you are looking at is correctly interpreted to be the 14 Jun 1795. He can't have passed away after his probate was performed. Also unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be an entry for him in the preceding years between 1792 and 1795. Possibly he died in another parish? If you are interested and/or don't already know, the probate states that he left behind his widow Else Simonsdatter and her two sons. Else's brother Anders Simonsen is also mentioned as the guardian of Else and the older son Peder.

There are (at least) two Jacob Pedersen at Fillerup in Odder parish.
The man being buried 14.June 1795 in Odder Sogn is a Jacob Svendsen.

The wife is here remarried in the census of 1801:

I thought I'd poke around a bit more. Through some additional records, I've discovered Jacob's parents and his brothers and sisters.

Jacob inherited his farm from his father Peder Rasmussen in 1764. See this copyhold deed:

    https://arkivalieronline.rigsarkivet.dk/da/billedviser?epid=21027676#330935,66556540

Two probates found through Erik Brejl's website provide the names of the rest of the family.

    1 Hans Pedersen

    https://arkivalieronline.rigsarkivet.dk/da/billedviser?epid=17177443#195159,32673168

Hans died in 1767, he was an unmarried soldier in Torrild, Denmark. He was survived by his siblings: Jacob Pedersen in Fillerup, Rasmus Pedersen in Oldrup, Kirsten Pedersdatter married to Peder Hansen in Ris in Ovsted parish, Anne Pedersdatter married to Niels Pedersen in Århus

    2 Birgitte Jacobsdatter

    https://arkivalieronline.rigsarkivet.dk/da/billedviser?epid=17177443#195158,32672801

Birgitte died in 1747, she was wife of Peder Rasmussen in Fillerup. Their kids were: Anne age 14, Jacob age 13, Rasmus age 12, Kirsten age 10, Hans age 4. Peder Rasmussen's brother Jens Rasmussen in Fillerup was also involved in the probate.

If Jacob was age 13 in 1747, then he was actually born around 1734. That would have made him 53 or so when he married Else. You might look for an earlier marriage for Jacob Pedersen.
