Translation Request - Anna Regina Staiger 30 8br 1688
Kirchenbuch (familysearch.org)
Please transcribe and translate the baptism record for Anna Regina Staiger found in the Gaisburger Church books in Stuttgart, Württemberg, Germany
I'm also curious as to the significance of the hand/glove.

The little hand drawing, filled in, was usually used to indicate an illegitimate birth. If you look at other entries in this register that have such a hand, you'll find that is the case.
Here's the translation of the main record -
Baptism Date - 30 October
Child's name - Anna Regina
Parents - Hanß Jakob Staiger, button maker, and wife Anna Regina
Witnesses - the vault custodian NB, Euphrosina wife of Hanß Lang, NB in his place Hanß Michel Knauß schoolmaster, Anna wife of Johann Widmayer
And then the little hand note -
This buttonmaker made himself a coarse button, since he was the [rest who asked P? for the baptism in a note?].
Note - This side note is peculiar for the way it is phrased, hence my question marks in brackets. Also the expression "made himself a coarse button" along with the hand symbol, seems to indicate that the child was illegitimate. Yet the entry lists both parents as married. So perhaps the parents anticipated their vows and the child was born less than 9 months after the marriage?
