Marriage-Joan Bernd Martus
Steve Schell
✭✭
The record in question is on the left side page 6 lines up from the bottom for Joan Bernd Martus
- His last name appears to be Martus. The person I am looking for is Johan Bernard Markus. Am I reading this correctly as Martus? I'm pretty sure this is my man as the spouse is correct.
- Can you tell what is written in back of each of their names?
- Since there is no date of marriage written, should I assume they were married on the same day as the couple above them….. 12 Feb 1776?
THANKS

Hello @Steve Schell,
(1) I read the groom's surname as: Markus. Note the long tail on the "k" which otherwise would look like a "t".
(2) After the groom's name, I read "Bergensis" = of Bergen. After the bride's name: dismissi a Berg[en]?.
(3) Yes, the marriage took place on 12 Feb 1776.
