Detailed translation of this 1886 partial death record for a Mr. Becher please.
Mr. Becher was born about 1839; I need the town of his birth please. It looks to be "Osterby"; however there are 3 or 4 towns by that name in Meyers. This document also mentions "Bredow" a suburb of Stettin? May I please have a detailed translation of this partial record?

Translation:
Bredow on August 22, 1887
Before the undersigned registrar appeared today, personally known, the cooper's widow Auguste Becher née Gramke, resident in Bredow at Carlstrasse No. 87, and announced that the journeyman cooper Heinrich Detlef Becher, 47 years 7 months 25 days old, of the Protestant religion, residing in Bredow at Carlstrasse No. 87, born in Osteby, married to her the notifier, son of unknown parents, died in Bredow on August 21, 1887, at 8 a.m..

NetzelMy comments:
The birth place of Heinrich Detlef Becher is written Osteby (no "r"); however such a place name can't be found in Meyers. All places called Osterby (with "r") are in Schleswig-Holstein which is quite distant.
Bredow is located north of the city of Stettin. Note that the map for
in Meyers is wrong; it points to the location of the other Bredow ( ).The birth date of Heirich Detlef Becher calculated from his age at death is 27 December 1839. This date is also noted in the lower left corner:
27.12.39 Lungen__tz?
20 Jahre verh[eiratet] (married for 20 year)
7 minderj[ährige] Kinder (7 underage children)
Nachlaß ca. 150 M[ark]. (estate about 150 marks)1 -
Update: I think I found what might be the marriage record - or rather proclamations record - for Heinrich Detlef and Auguste on Ancestry (#16 in 1868):
https://www.ancestry.de/imageviewer/collections/8798/images/32495_77wolli0021-00511?pId=9107542
The names are somewhat different: Dettloff Heinrich Becker in
and Auguste Emilie Friederike Gremke in . There are several Lebbins in Meyers; Lebbin 4) is nearest to Stettin and Graseberg. The age of Heinrich (26 in 1868) does not fully match with his birthdate given in the death record. However, his occupation is also given as journeyman cooper.

OK I see that you had found this record already…. 😊

There should be a proper marriage record in
as mentioned in the proclamations record. The proclamation was in Lebbin as well, because that was the home parish of the groom.I don't know if the church books of Stepenitz are available.

Thank you much Ulrich Neitzel. This gets us closer to finding the origins of Heinrich Becher. Would you have any suggestions for finding "Osteby"? Could his place of birth be the word after his birthdate "Lungen_tz"?
Thank you much for this translation.

Could his place of birth be the word after his birthdate "Lungen_tz"?
I thought the same and tried several variations using wildcards, but did not succeed. 😕
Maybe his marriage record (about 1867) would help. Do you know where his wife was from?0 -
Their marriage took place in "Stepenitz"; the bride was from Grasberg; the groom and the bride's father worked in Lebbin. Lebbin, Grasberg, and three variations of "Stepenitz" are on the east side of the Stettiner Haff; relatively close to Stettin. There are also two references to "Stepenitz" west of Stettin, south of and close to the Plauer See. Thank you for checking "Lungen_tz".
Would birth records for this area (Lebbin, Grasberg, and Stepenitz) be in Stettin?

Yes, #16 in 1868 in Ancestry. I will begin looking for birth records in Lebbin maybe?

Thank you again Ulrich; I will begin with Gross Stepenitz and Lebbin.
I have another birth record of the bride - that she was born in Stettin.
Thank you much.
