any information greatly appreciated.

II do have information on Johann and Josepha children.

MMartin came to US in 1909 as a widower and lived with Johann in Saginaw Michigan

It looks like records for Strelno are available for Taufen, Heiraten, Tote 1819-1849 on film 719240, DGS 8015104 at any local FHC.

Hi,

You could check the poznan project website. I only had a quick look there but, for example, they have a marriage of the son Joseph Skowronski recorded there. (civil records Strzelno, no. 23/1894)

The civil records for Strzelno you can find on the website www. genealogiawarchiwach. pl.

The records for the town of Strzelno (as opposed to the villages surrounding Strzelno) would be in the books called "Urząd Stanu Cywilnego Strzelno - miasto".

Thank you. I am assuming that everything is only in Polish. When I pull up information what are they saying...as I don't speak Polish?

To find other family do I just scroll thru all of Strelno not knowing any names or dates?

Since Martinus got married there, I think that the catholic church books of "Lisewo Kościelne, Inowrocław, bydgoskie, Polen" should have the information you are looking for. They have already been indexed on familysearch.

It looks like Martinus moved to Strelno rather than was born there. It seems more likely that the 1840 birth record that @hehesani63 attached (in Lisewo Kościelne) is his birth record.

In that record it says his place of birth is "Mamliez?" which looks a lot like the place of birth he reported (Mamlitz?) when he immigrated from Strelno in 1909 to go to his son Johann in Michigan. That immigration is on ancestry (image 217 and 218 of 234; image 218 has his birthplace at far right, bottom row):

Thank you for the information you have found for me.

II am looking for Antonius Skowronski GYCB-HBS and wife Marianna Piszczelska GYCB-8S2 various spellings. They are parents of Martinus Skowronski.

II have checked Posen project and Family Search and found nothing . My Heritage nothing as with Ancestry which I don't have but check at my library. I do not live anywhere near Salt Lake City so that is not an option to access books.

AAny help you can suggest will be greatly appreciated.
