In connection with above translation request can this birth be read please for Magdalena Roessig. Why is father's name in parentheses above Magdalena's name? Or am I reading this wrong? TIA Deniese

Full name of the child: Magdalene F[r]anzisca Elisabeth Roëssig. [Note: The father's name written in this column was a mistake on the part of the scribe. See the "Remarks" column below.]
Day and hour of the birth in the year 1855: 24 December, 4:00 am.

Remarks: The father's name was entered into the child's column by mistake. [I can't read the rest of this note, which appears to have been entered subsequently, but the note is signed and dated 2 Jan 1856.
Name of the church book registrar and date: Brother Behre, chaplain, for the Pastor Jg. Kopp, 30 Dec 1855.

My comment: "Ricus" is a nickname for "Heinrich".
